IIA places high value on the company’s role as a good corporate citizen, and is deeply committed to supporting and interacting with the communities in which our employees live and work.
IIA’s primary focus for corporate giving is to advance literacy, education and lifelong learning. We serve on the Literacy Committees of both Rotary International and Altrusa International and IIA is an “Angel” supporter of their yearly joint literacy luncheon that raises $15-20M annually for literacy awareness and programs. Additionally, IIA supplies dictionaries each year to every third grade student across Scott County, a socioeconomically challenged community in Tennessee. This gives these underprivileged children the opportunity to possess something valuable and to have as their own, a solid foundation for reading and writing and a key to expanding their imagination and creativity for years to come.
IIA is a member of the East Tennessee Economic Council (ETEC), an organization dedicated to supporting the federal government’s missions by encouraging new opportunities to fully utilize the highly skilled talent, cutting-edge technologies, and unique facilities found in that region. IIA’s founder, Bonnie Carroll, was awarded the Muddy Boot Award for her outstanding contributions to economic development in the community.
IIA has also been a proud corporate supporter of the United Way of Anderson County, Tennessee, the Secret City Festival, and Secret City Half Marathon/5k. Our employees volunteer regularly for Road Clean-ups, have participated in the Dragon Boat races and volunteer their time in mentoring others.
