IIa Announces Formation of Advisory Board

Information International Associates (IIa) is pleased to announce the creation of a formalized Advisory Board, whose members will be in to Oak Ridge this week for their first meeting hosted at the IIa offices on Union Valley Road. As a small business that is growth oriented, it has become increasingly important to look to experienced business leaders for guidance and advice during this time of transition and beyond. This Board is focused on the continuing goal of strengthening the company’s position in Federal Government markets as a top provider of high-quality, trusted information technology (IT) services. IIa is fortunate to have an Advisory Board comprised of distinguished and experienced individuals, and it is our pleasure to welcome them to Oak Ridge.
 
Dr. Frank H. Akers, Jr., Ph.D.- Dr. Akers is the President and CEO of Oak Ridge Strategies Group, Inc. (ORSG), a company specializing in technology discovery, exploitation of disruptive technologies, customer relationship development, and strategic planning. Prior to founding ORSG, Dr. Akers served as Associate Laboratory Director for National Security at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). Dr. Akers worked as Vice President, Advanced Technologies, for BWXT Y-12, LLC and Lockheed Martin Energy Systems. Dr. Akers prides a 30-plus year career of distinguished military service in the United States Army, where he held many prominent leadership positions and earned the rank of Brigadier General.
 
Ms. Linda Allan- From 1991 until her retirement in 2008, Ms. Allan served as the Executive Vice President for NCI Information Systems, an IT company focusing on full lifecycle IT specialties, where she was responsible for business growth, acquisitions, and risk mitigation. She also oversaw NCI’s growth from a small 8(a) firm with $1 million in revenue to a large, publically traded company with $390 million in revenue in 2008. Prior to joining NCI, Ms. Allan held senior operations positions with Automated Sciences Group, MAXIMA Corporation, and Litton Bionetics. She currently serves on the Board of Advisors for INDUS Corporation and OnPoint Consulting, Inc.
 
Mr. Rich Hozik- As Senior Managing Director and Founding Member of McLean Consulting Services, LLC and President and Chief Executive Officer and Founding Member of Hozik and Lawson, LLC, Mr. Hozik is responsible for leading the management of these consulting practices which specialize in strategic planning, business process and profit improvement, business turnarounds, capital raising, and mergers and acquisitions. His previous career experience included serving as the Chief Financial Officer and Divisional Chief Executive Officer to a number of Washington D.C. area companies, and as CFO and CEO of a global biomedical firm with operations throughout North America, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific.
 
Mr. Mark Lister- Mr. Lister is the Founder and President of StratTechs, Inc., a consulting firm specializing in brokering technology within the Defense, Intelligence, and Homeland Security government markets. He recently completed service on the Secretary of the Navy Advisory Panel, and he formerly served as Chairman of the Naval Research Advisory Committee, the senior scientific advisory group to the Secretary of the Navy, Chief of Naval Operations, Commandant of the Marine Corps, and Chief of Naval Research. During his experience as Senior Vice President of Government Operations for the Sarnoff Corporation, he set the corporate strategy for the government sector and served. From 1992 to 2002, Mr. Lister served as the Executive Director of the National Information Display Laboratory, with responsibilities including directing research and development for an array of information technologies.
 
Mr. Larry Peck- Mr. Peck currently serves as Managing Partner of Sierra Holdings, LLC, a small company providing management and consulting services to IT companies seeking to pursue business with the federal government. During an over 30 year career at SAIC, Mr. Peck held a variety of management positions, including the Executive Vice President, Homeland Security, and the Group President of the Enterprise and Infrastructure Solutions (E&IS) Group, one of five SAIC operating units that accounted for $1.6 billion of SAIC’s $8.3 billion total annual revenues and was responsible for the execution of SAIC’s Homeland Security/ Defense campaign.
